Auca is a sans-serif typeface designed by Argentinian typeface designer, Juan Pablo del Peral. It was inspired by the geometric shapes and structures of the indigenous people of South America. The name "Auca" is derived from the language of the Quechua people, meaning "rebel" or "outsider."
Auca has a sleek and modern appearance with rounded corners and minimal stroke contrast. It is highly legible and functional, making it perfect for a wide range of design projects such as branding, packaging, editorial, and web design. The font family includes seven weights, from thin to bold, as well as italic versions. Auca has been highly acclaimed by the design community and has won multiple awards, including the Communication Arts Typography Annual in 2020.
